Running: CIMB Bank Color Run Kuala Lumpur

Last Sunday, 17th August 2014 was the CIMB Color Run. For the first time ever, I joined this colour run and my husband and I were very lucky to get through with the registration. I heard the registration was closed very quickly as the number of participants were high.

True enough, we reached Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur at 7am and it was full of runners! Practically about 13,000 runners on that day. They flagged off the runners batch-by-batch basis to manage the runners.

At the starting line, the MC started to throw at us the colour powder bit by bit as an introduction and it does create more excitement to the runners.

The finishing line directs you to the field where the stage are and the MC’s throwing the colour packets to the runners and did a countdown to throw the colours and get colourful!

Very satisfied! Will definitely join this run again next year!

Running: Energizer Night Run KL 2014

On Saturday, 9th August 2014 – marked my first run for the year 2014. It was Energizer Night Run that was held at Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur which starts at 8.00pm for the 15km runners and 8.20pm for the 5km fun run runners. My husband and I registered for the 5km fun run for now.

Fireworks being light up at 8.20pm to indicate that the 5km runners have been flagged off. For the first 1km or so because there were too many runners and that the roads were quite narrow, most of us were practically walking.

All in all it was a good jog. I stressed it was more of jogging than running =þ

Finished the run at 9.10pm collected the medal, certs and food and off to the LRT to catch the train back home.
